Ken Stewart from Urban Guerillas will be at The Bundanoon Club this Sunday. Ken Stewart’s love of music started at a very young age. Born into a musical family, Ken’s passion for some of the greatest bands of the 80s inspired the guitarist to write his own iconic songs, and along with two other Adelaide lads, he formed the band Urban Guerrillas.
The band has been continually gigging ever since, and over the years, the Guerrillas have performed with some of Australia’s best outfits, including the Oils, Mental as Anything and Spy v Spy.
Ken’s keen to perform as a special guest at the Bundy Club Open Mic because “playing solo gigs is more spontaneous and you can set the tempo depending on the atmosphere and audience”.
The Guerrillas front man has written decades of topical songs about Australia and the challenges we face as a nation. And even though some of his numbers confront serious social issues, his humour, passion and energy shines through with some of the best lyrics of his generation.
Ken Stewart performs at the Bundy Club on 2 October from 5pm till late.
