"Saturday 12th December saw teams from Bowral, Robertson and of course Bundanoon gather for the "Finals" of the Eric Plain Trophy. This is an annual event between the three Clubs and it is a way of celebrating and honouring Eric Plain who passed away in 2010. Bundanoon won the inaugural event in 2010 but alas we have not won it since. Saturday the 12th December at our home club saw us gain victory on the day with a 3-2-1 WIN over our competitors. It was a great day for all as 30 bowlers graced the green for a competitive day of bowling. Thanks goes to all the participants on the day as well as spectators and of course those who helped organise the event such as Scott Kelly, Keith Stratton, Neville O'Mullane and our intrepid Referee on the day John Witney. Also to our Coach Roger Bromley who has spent a lot of time trying to improve our game for such events. A special mention also to The Paddock and Anthony Pellegrino for offering such lovely afternoon teas on two occasions to the bowlers. A huge thanks also to Tamara who is the grand daughter of Eric Plain who presented the Trophy on the day. It will be stationed in our Trophy Cabinet for all to see. All agreed that the Tournament was a GREAT success and we are looking forward to the event again in 2021.
